This is a year-long book review challenge, and we are halfway through (+1 hehe). It was a National Book Award Finalist and A New York Times Best Illustrated Book of the Year, among other awards. Amos & Boris was first published in 1971. Then I realized I have his book, The One and Only Shrek (which I have yet to read! Yikes!). When I held the book in my hand, I thought that the name William Steig sounded familiar. ![]() However, when I chanced upon William Steig’s Amos & Boris, I decided to give it a go since I haven’t seen it yet. I originally intended to purchase another Mo Willems book (because I just love the man’s works!). ![]() I discovered Amos & Boris by accident while I was browsing through the picture book section of Barnes & Noble.
